2018 Eastern Conference Finals: LeBron's Cavs Fall to the Boston Celtics

Game 7 Ends Cavs' Eight-Year Reign

Celtics Win 108-83, Advance to NBA Finals

After a thrilling seven-game series, the Boston Celtics emerged victorious over the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2018 Eastern Conference Finals. The Celtics' decisive 108-83 victory on Sunday night marked the end of the Cavaliers' eight-year reign as Eastern Conference champions.

LeBron James, who had led the Cavaliers to the NBA Finals for the past eight seasons, put up a valiant effort in Game 7, scoring 35 points, grabbing 15 rebounds, and dishing out nine assists. However, it wasn't enough to overcome the Celtics' balanced scoring attack.

Kyrie Irving led the Celtics with 24 points, followed by Jayson Tatum with 22 and Al Horford with 17. The Celtics shot 52.6% from the field and held the Cavaliers to just 34.6% shooting.

The Celtics' victory was a culmination of a season-long resurgence, as they fought back from a slow start to earn the second seed in the Eastern Conference. They will now face the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals, a rematch of last year's championship series.
