Barbora Krejčíková: A Rising Star in Tennis

Early Life and Career

Barbora Krejčíková was born on December 18, 1995 in Brno, Czech Republic. She began playing tennis at the age of 6 and quickly showed promise. In 2013, she won the Junior Wimbledon title, becoming the first Czech to do so since Petra Kvitová in 2007.

Professional Breakthrough

Krejčíková turned professional in 2014 and quickly made her mark on the WTA Tour. In 2016, she won her first WTA title at the Prague Open. She continued to improve her ranking and in 2020, she reached a career-high ranking of No. 65.

Grand Slam Success

Krejčíková has enjoyed success in all four Grand Slams. She reached the second week of Roland Garros in 2020 and Wimbledon in 2021. She also reached the quarterfinals of the Australian Open in 2022.
WTA Finals Appearances
Krejčíková has also made a name for herself in doubles. She won the WTA Finals doubles title in 2021 with Kateřina Siniaková. This was her first WTA Finals title and it marked her as one of the top doubles players in the world.
