Tempe's Healing Field Opens over the weekend leading up to 9/11 Anniversary

1100 Flags Planted For 20th Anniversary

The Healing Field has opened in Tempe for the 20th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks. The field is a tribute to the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives in the attacks, and the flag display serves as a reminder of the resilience of the American people.

The Healing Field is located at Tempe Beach Park, and it features 1,100 American flags. Each flag represents a person who was killed in the September 11th attacks, and the flags are arranged in the shape of the Twin Towers. The field is open to the public from dawn to dusk.

The Healing Field has been a tradition in Tempe since 2002, and it has grown in size each year. This year's field is the largest ever.

The Healing Field is a powerful reminder of the September 11th attacks but also of the resilience of the American people. The field is a place for reflection, remembrance, and healing. It is a place where people can come together to remember the victims of the attacks and to honor their memory.

The Healing Field will be open to the public until September 12th. For more information visit http://www.tempe.gov/healingfield.
